Lindenhurst, New York – Today, seeking to incentivize energy efficient transportation choices and promote fuel conservation, Legislator Wayne Horsley (D-Babylon) announced legislation to designate “hybrid-only” parking spaces at county office buildings and county owned and operated facilities. The proposal introduced by Horsley is entitled The Green Spaces Initiative. The accompanying legislation directs the Commissioner of Public Works to designate a minimum of 5% of parking spaces at all County facilities for the exclusive use of parking by the owner/operators of hybrid vehicles. |

Ford plans to double its hybrid volume and offerings next year - and is looking to expand further going forward. Production of the all-new 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and Mercury Milan Hybrid begins in December - with fuel economy expected to top the Toyota Camry hybrid. |

Achieving a 50-percent improvement in fuel economy in city driving, Escalade Hybrid arrives at Cadillac dealerships in the United States with an MSRP of $71,685. That represents a premium of only $3,600 over a comparably-equipped Escalade. |
