Latest California Hybrid Incentive Listings 2007 PDF Print E-mail

        Latest listings of incentives for hybrdis and alternative fuel vehicles include Free Parking in certain areas and tax breaks.

       All HOV stickers for hybrids have now been issued.                                                                                                                     

City of Vacaville and City of Dixon Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Incentive Program
CNG and Electric vehicles only. The city offers a $6,800 incentive towards a new CNG vehicle and the Federal government offers a $4,000 tax credit. The City of Vacaville also offers a $2,000 incentive on the purchase and installation of the Phill Home Refueling Appliance (HRA). The EV program grants up to $6,000 available per new EV purchased or leased, reducing the cost of leasing down to $175/month. Hybrids are not covered currently under this program, because the incentive targets alternative engine technologies. Simply purchase the vehicle from a participating dealer and complete a few forms.

Florida High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lane Exemption PDF Print E-mail
State Incentives
A Hybrid vehicle certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency may be driven in a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane at any time regardless of its occupancy as long as a decal is displayed.

The vehicle must have a decal issued by the Florida Division of Motor Vehicles, obtained for a $5 fee, which must be renewed annually. (Reference Florida Statutes 316.0741).
