With 2010 only a week old many consumers are considering their purchase options with regards to their next car. If that car happens to be a hybrid, one question that is often asked is “What is offered in terms of available tax credits?”. We have had “cash for clunkers” however, there are other considerations by way of tax breaks, that the consumer has available to him or her for 2010 hybrid car purchases. |

Lindenhurst, New York – Today, seeking to incentivize energy efficient transportation choices and promote fuel conservation, Legislator Wayne Horsley (D-Babylon) announced legislation to designate “hybrid-only” parking spaces at county office buildings and county owned and operated facilities. The proposal introduced by Horsley is entitled The Green Spaces Initiative. The accompanying legislation directs the Commissioner of Public Works to designate a minimum of 5% of parking spaces at all County facilities for the exclusive use of parking by the owner/operators of hybrid vehicles. |

IR-2007-168, Oct. 12, 2007 WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service has acknowledged the certification by American Honda Motor Company, Inc. that its Model Year 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid CVT meets the requirements of the Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit as a qualified hybrid motor vehicle. |

08/08/2007 -TORRANCE, Calif. - The IRS announced in July that the hydrogen-powered Honda FCX fuel cell vehicle became eligible for the Qualified Fuel Cell Motor Vehicle Credit program. The credit is part of the federal Energy Policy Act of 2005, which seeks to promote affordable, dependable and environmentally-sound production and distribution of energy for America's future. |
